There is still a long road ahead, but all in all, this first alpha is in rather good shape. Base system: Linux kernel 3.15.2, systemd 208, Perl 5.20.0. Graphical environments: KDE 4.13.2, Qt 4.8.6, GNOME 3.13.3. Office applications: LibreOffice 4.2.4.2. Artwork and design: New artwork is not yet integrated in this early stage of Mageia 5.
